Samwell is a Chicago-based performer who always considered himself more of an actor until a co-worker overheard him singing to himself and urged him to record his first song. That catchy little song, What What [In the Butt], has since become a worldwide internet phenomenon. The video premiered on YouTube [somewhat appropriately] on Valentine's Day 2007, and was an immediate success. To date, it has been viewed nearly 8 million times and ranks among the top 200 most viewed internet videos in history. Samwell's audacious and infectious tune soon caught the attention of Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim. He is now signed to Cook's record label, Southern Fried Records. The commercial release of the anticipated What What [In the Butt] single is set for spring 2008 and will feature remixes by several famous names. Samwell also has a cameo in the upcoming feature film Hamlet A.D.D.
